Vault Operations
X-Vault is a digital research archive dedicated to preserving, organizing, and making searchable declassified government records, intelligence files, and anomalous phenomena documentation. Through automated document processing, metadata analysis, open-source technologies, and AI-assisted research tools, the archive transforms large collections of primary-source material into an accessible public resource.
Our mission is simple: public records should be accessible to the public.
While many archives are designed primarily for desktop users and institutional researchers, X-Vault is built with accessibility in mind. Many historical government records were created for paper archives, not modern mobile devices. X-Vault enhances accessibility through transcription, search, structured metadata, and readability tools that help users explore source material on everything from desktop computers to low-bandwidth mobile connections. The goal is not to replace the original records, but to make them easier to discover, read, and understand.
Every document remains available in its original form, allowing users to verify findings directly from the source records. AI assists discovery and navigation, but the archive is ultimately grounded in the documents themselves.
X-Vault is free to access — no paywalls, no subscriptions, no gatekeepers. Your support keeps it running, growing, and in the public's hands.
